Telx's MarketplacePORTAL wins Liferay's Pulse Award

We are excited to announce that the Telx MarketplacePORTAL was awarded Liferay's Pulse Award for Best Collaboration and Social Project for 2014. Liferay's Pulse Awards recognise the people and companies behind creative and innovating projects built using the Liferay portal platform. Liferay is a Gartner-recommended platform that has been deployed 350,000-500,000 times worldwide and has over 1500 enterprise customers including: H&R Block, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, Toyota, Allianz, Rolex, and Penn State University.


The Best Collaboration and Social Project award recognizes the best internal or external social collaboration project that has fostered cross-departmental collaboration. The project employs Liferay's social components and achieves measurable results in the way a company team interacts and collaborates. With Liferay as the project's backbone, the results are shared documents, reduced email clutter, extended knowledge-sharing through message boards and wikis, and streamlined day-to-day activities. On June 5th, 2014 at MarketplaceLIVE East, the Telx MarketplacePORTAL team launched a public marketplace for Telx customers. The new marketplace allows the Telx ecosystem to find out who is collocated and reach out to key decision makers for quotes on products and services. The MarketplacePORTAL team is already hard at work on a new roadmap for 2015 with a focus on an improved user experience, user interface, and a next generation Marketplace.
