When the Futures Industry Association (FIA) was founded in 1955 in New York as the Association of Commodity Exchange Firms, it was meant to provide a forum for industry firms and their customers on everything from reducing costs to eliminating the abuse of credit.
The FIA has evolved significantly since then. After more than a half century of expansion and growth, FIA is now the leading voice of the listed derivatives and cleared swaps industry, representing more than 250 organizations around the world.
Though the FIA's impact is felt in many ways, one of the best showcases of the FIA every year is its Futures & Options Expo. The FIA Futures & Options Expo, now in its 31st year, convenes thought leaders and industry stakeholders for three days of engaging programming.
This year's FIA Expo is set for November 3-5, 2015 at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. This fall, 5,000 industry attendees will gather in Chicago to meet with the most innovative technology and service providers. We have good news for anyone who’s attending this year: The Telx team will be there all three days, Tuesday through Thursday!
This year's speakers include:
- Rob Creamer, President & Chief Executive Officer, Geneva Trading, and Chairman, FIA Principal Traders Group
- Edward Pla, Managing Director, Global Head of Clearing & Execution, UBS
- Edward Tilly, Chief Executive Officer, Chicago Board Options Exchange
- Kevin McPartland, Principal, Market Structure & Technology, Greenwich Associates
... and many more! Speakers, attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and panelists at FIA Expo 2015 will have a packed schedule—but one that’s sure to be valuable for all who attend.
If you're headed to Chicago in November for this exciting event, make sure not to miss the Telx team while we're there!
