What’s the state of cloud computing among businesses? What can we expect in years to come?

A new infographic from Computer Science Zone seeks to answer those questions and more. Right now, for example, 88% of companies with 1,000 employees or more use private cloud, while 63% of those same companies use public cloud. Of course, most of us already know that cloud is popular in the enterprise—but what’s next?

As the infographic “Cloud Computing: A Cloudy Future?” notes, cloud as a percentage of total IT enterprise spending is expected to increase to 11% in 2018 from 6% in 2015. What’s more, more companies are predicted to use a portfolio of clouds instead of relying solely on either private or public, and demand for cloud brokers is expected to surge.
